Manila, Philippines – Discovery World Corporation (DWC), the renowned hotels and resorts developer owned by the Tiu family, has officially commenced construction on its latest hospitality venture in Siargao, the Philippines' famed surfing capital. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lucky Cloud 9 Resort Inc., and its property management arm, Discovery Hospitality Corporation, DWC has broken ground on Kip&Kin Siargao, a unique dual-concept property designed to cater to the evolving preferences of modern travelers.

The development, set to rise on a 7,000-square-meter portion of DWC’s 2.6-hectare property in Surigao del Norte, will feature 34 hotel rooms, 48 hostel beds, and retail spaces. This innovative blend of luxury and budget-friendly accommodations aims to appeal to a diverse audience, from families seeking a serene getaway to millennial and Gen Z travelers looking for vibrant, community-driven experiences.

The group also has plans to expand the Kip&Kin brand to other prime destinations in the Philippines, including Vanilla Beach in El Nido and San Vicente, Palawan.
