is it safe to travel to Siargao island and philippines?

is it safe to travel to Siargao island and Philippines in general now? the places in my mind is Manila, cebu, bohol, dumaguete, Palawan island. maybe boracay and kalibo too. I will avoid Mindanao and Davao city. thinking about in mid Nov to Mid Dec.

In comparison to London I would find all those places in the Philippines much safer.
London has had numerous terrorism incidents of late so if you are comfortable there you will find the Philippines a breeze. - tommomelbourne

People should feel excited about their trip. If a place causes you angst, makes you worry, dread, fearful, it may not be the place for you.
There are enough news and travel advisories about the philippines that can cause you angst. Those who know the country may try to reassure you but may not be enough because that is all you have, 2nd and 3rd hand pros and cons. -al22tecc
