In a recent interview, Francis Chua, business unit head for 2GO Travel, confirmed that the new route will officially set sail on October 20, 2025. The route will be serviced by the M/V Saint Francis Xavier, a spacious vessel with a capacity of 1,900 passengers.

The ship will depart from Manila every Monday, arriving in Siargao on Tuesday, giving travelers a full week to enjoy all that the island has to offer. This new option is perfect for those who want to avoid the hassle of flying or simply prefer the experience of a sea journey. It also provides a more budget-friendly alternative for those planning an extended stay in Siargao.
