A New Era for Siargao Travel
During a courtesy call at my office yesterday, 2GO Travel representatives shared their vision of expanding their services to Siargao, with plans to establish a Manila-Siargao direct route in the near future. This initiative promises faster, more affordable, and more convenient travel for tourists and locals alike, bridging the gap between the country’s capital and our island paradise.
More Than Just a Ferry Route
2GO’s proposal goes beyond passenger transport—it’s about:

Evaluating the Dapa International Port
As part of their preparations, 2GO will conduct surveys and evaluations at the Brgy. Jubang Port in Dapa, currently under construction by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA). Once completed, this port will significantly enhance maritime connectivity and support larger vessels, paving the way for smoother travel and trade.
