Pansukian Tropical Resort

In 1989, 27 year-old Paris-based lawyer, Nicolas Rambeau, went in search for his own piece of paradise.  He looked around the Philippines and found it on the island of Siargao.  Tucked away in a little corner of this farflung island was a coconut plantation nestled between a tranquil lagoon and a mangrove river fringed by forested hills.

In 1994, he hung up his hat as a lawyer, packed up his life in France and made that permanent move to the Philippines.  And without any architectural training, he designed and built a resort that blends harmoniously with its lush, natural surroundings.

Nicolas' commitment to his guests is Pansukian Tropical Resort, a secluded, romantic hideaway where one can escape the trappings of the modern world and commune with nature, yet remain safe and comfortable in a tropical environment.  In order to achieve this coziness, Nicolas deliberately limited the number of cottages, blending them in a tropical garden.  White-sand walkways lead you to precious wooden pagodas adorned with traditional Filipino craftsmanship.  Apart from Nicolas and Gai, all the staff are from the island for that authentic Filipino warmth and hospitality.

Accommodations

    Pansukian has three room categories:  the superior tropical villa, the tropical villa and the garden cottage.  All have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and queen-sized beds.

    The superior and tropical villas are enclosed in private gardens, have huge verandahs and rooms, mini-refrigerators, and spacious bathrooms equipped with hot water.  The main difference between the superior villa and the tropical villa is that the superior villa has a bathtub and separate enclosure for the toilet.

    The garden cottages are much smaller than the villas.  They are also air-conditioned and have ceiling fans, but their bathrooms, although private, are detached without hot water.

Rates

The rates are per-person per-day.

The Rates Include:

• a welcome drink
• accommodations
• three set meals (if you arrive at lunch, your last meal with us is breakfast; please inform us in advance of any food allergies you may have)
• use of hobie cat, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, volleyball, billards, board and card games, our library and the safety deposit box at Reception

• round-trip transfers to the resort
• all drinks
• island tours, off-shore surfing, deep-sea fishing and diving
• massages

• Single Occupancy - $290 per night
• Double Occupancy - $250 per person per night
• Triple Occupancy or More - $210 per person per night

• Single Occupancy - $250 per night
• Double Occupancy - $210 per person per night
• Triple Occupancy or More - $170 per person per night

• Single Occupancy - $160 per night
• Double Occupancy - $150 per person per night
• Triple Occupancy or More - $130 per person per night

• A 50%25 deposit is required to secure reservations.  Bookings not covered by the said deposit will be deemed temporary and may be voided in favor of other paying guests.
• The balance should be paid in full, at least, one month before the date of arrival at the resort.
• For payments made via bank transfer, please note that all bank charges shall be borne by the guest.  Please indicate on whose behalf the payment is being made.
• Credit card payments for incidental expenses at the resort are subject to a 6%25 surcharge. We do NOT accept traveler's checks.

• FOR THE REGULAR SEASON, the equivalent of one night's stay per person will be charged for cancellations made within a week (seven days) of the intended date of arrival at the resort.  All deposits are non-refundable for bookings cancelled on the scheduled day of arrival itself.  Deadline for rebooking the trip is three days prior to original date of arrival at the resort.  If rebooked less than three days before, a cancellation fee of one night per person shall be applied.  The new tour dates have to be within six months of the original tour dates otherwise all deposits shall be forfeited.
