Image We were supposed to open J-Spot Cafe 3 years ago, but there were a few... obstacles. Looking back, maybe we really had to undergo those experiences. But once we've set our minds on an idea, there is no stopping us from turning it into a reality.

Joseph's cooking skills is already legendary among his friends, so we're letting them do the marketing work for us (and boy, are they good at it!). Down here at the home front, here's my humble chalkboard sign advertising for our humble kitchen:

The bottom part says: "WE GOT CRABS (the edible kind)"

Here are some food shots, this is what you actually get:

Fish Steak with Potatoes P80+ (depending on size of fish)

porkchop with Rice P70

Buko Pandan Shake P35 (all ingredients from the trees around you)

Sashimi with Wasabi P60

Oh and there are crabs of course! Check out screwface.multiply.com and his "Siargao April 2009 - III" album for their awesome crabs for dinner shots.

Our thanks to The Almighty and to the following beautiful beings:

Jen Laurente, JM Libarnes and friends for being brave enough to be our very first customers; Abe "Abe-yo" Tolentino for being a very willing guinea pig; JP, Aston, and the rest of the Sarmiento family for allowing us to practice on them; Tin "The Terrible" Terrible for um, helping out; Mr. and Mrs. Terrible for dubbing Joseph as "Jo-chef"; Momon, Mara, Greg, Gustavo, and Angel from CDO for always ordering our fruit shakes; Momon for being a shirtless Sous Chef in Boardshorts for a day; Arnel and Daniel "Chicharon kid" from CDO for always drinking our Cagayan coffee before a surf session; Pascal "Lutist" for helping us perfect our coffee recipe; Frida, Peter, and Pontus "The Tall Blonde Ones" for trying our food nearly everyday before they left for Sweden; Fred and Pierre "The Kalinaw Frenchies" for saying we've got "cool coffee"; Susan "Susan Sagana" for having faith in us that we'll be successful; Dodong our excellent all-around guy for making us feel like we've hired 3 people in one; and Kratos and Dokey for keeping customers entertained while we practice to serve food faster.

Come and visit! Oh and while you're here, please don't forget to sign the J-Spot logbook. I was very happy to have found fabric with all of the J-Spot colors.
